Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator works closely with the Human Resources Director in developing, implementing and maintaining ongoing HR policies, programs, functions, and activities to ensure the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations; maintains proper security for all employee files, and delivers excellent employee experiences in line with the MWG mission and values.

This role provides medical and dental coverage 100% paid for by the company for employees. Dependents are covered 50% for medical the first 2 years, thereafter coverage increases with tenure.

401K Matching option after 6 months of employment.

Core Responsibilities

Human Resources

· Assists with HR activities and programs, such as staffing, compensation, benefits, training and safety

· Assists with new-employee files and assists with onboarding to ensure compliance with operating procedures and company policies

· Assists with health plan enrollments, changes, and terminations

· Assist the HR Director in the daily administration of other HR services as directed or assigned, including the employee directory, promotions, transfers, terminations, performance evaluation, and employee relations

· Assists in writing job descriptions, policies, and internal communications

· Effectively utilize the HR information system to enter, obtain, and store pertinent data and documentation

· Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management

· Assists with Data Entry Projects

· All other duties assigned

Payroll

· Assists with keeping employee payroll deductions and earnings up to date

· Completes any state or local benefit audit forms

· Assists in pulling reports from multiple payroll programs for audits, visibility, accounting projects etc.

· Assists current and former employees by pulling requested pay stubs

· Assists with processing weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll software system for payroll processing

· Completing changes in employee payroll accounts as requested

· Correlating information and documents from the HR end to payroll to ensure all employees needs are met

· All other duties assigned

Qualifications

· High School Graduate or GED

· 3+ years of Human Resources experience

· 3+ years of Payroll experience and software systems

Working Conditions

Positions in this class require: typing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. May be required to lift up to 10 pounds, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects while completing essential functions. This position is comprised of sedentary work, which involves sitting at a computer a majority of the workday; walking and standing are required only occasionally when getting up from the front desk to greet visitors and assist as needed. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, handling smartphone devices, and reading extensively. The office environment is climate controlled and little outside activity. Regular travel and driving are required for visiting stakeholders and attending meetings, community activities, professional and semi-social gatherings.
