JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator provides vital administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, ensuring efficient HR processes and serving as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries. This role also supports AVB leadership teams with meeting coordination and employee engagement initiatives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

AVB HR Support (60% FTE)

  • Update job descriptions and postings; screen resumes and schedule interviews
  • Organize interviews, meetings, and training sessions
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork, orientation, and system setup
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and respond to employee questions
  • Support employee engagement and recognition programs
  • Prepare HR reports, audits, and wage surveys
  • Track and process compliance documentation (e.g., workers’ compensation, disability, FMLA, unemployment)
  • Process benefit invoices and employee reimbursements (flex, wellness, etc.)
  • Coordinate talent development program including trainings, programs and coordinating/attending career fairs and KRESA/Campus Connect events

Lakewood Management HR Support (30% FTE)

  • Provide HR support to Greenspire and Prairie’s including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, reporting, and benefit administration.

AVB Leadership Support (10% FTE)

  • Assist with preparation and coordination of annual, quarterly, and company-wide meetings
  • Support Leadership Teams with recognition events, gifts, and communications for their direct reports
  • Schedule quarterly conversations between Leadership Teams and their direct reports


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant HR experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • Discretion in handling confidential information


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment described here represents what the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
