Human Resources Director

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department and drive strategic initiatives that enhance our organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of human resources management, employment and labor laws, and best practices in talent acquisition and employee relations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills who can effectively collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies and programs that support organizational goals.
  • Manage talent acquisition processes, ensuring effective recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Lead performance management initiatives to foster employee development and enhance productivity.
  • Supervise HR staff and provide guidance on employee relations, conflict management, and organizational design.
  • Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA regulations, and other employment laws.
  • Administer benefits programs and manage payroll processes using sysDrive training and development initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Conduct data analysis for workforce planning, succession planning, and program management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning efforts to align human capital management with business objectives.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure effective resolution of employee issues.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.

2. Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

3. Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in social services, behavioral health, or nonprofit organizations.

4. Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.

5. Demonstrated experience with employee relations, performance management, and compliance with regulatory and licensing standards.

6. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

7. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with integrity and discretion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year
