Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of human capital management, employment law, and organizational development. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR program management to support the company's growth and organizational objectives.
Duties
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, including strategic planning and change management initiatives.
- Oversee talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation programs.
- Manage employee relations by addressing conflicts, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring effective communication across teams.
- Administer benefits programs, payroll systems (such as Workday, ADP, Paychex), and workers' compensation claims while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Lead HRIS system management (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UltiPro) for data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations including FMLA, OSHA requirements, and contracts.
- Supervise HR staff in sourcing efforts, succession planning, training & development initiatives, and HR program management.
- Oversee employee evaluation processes and performance management systems to foster continuous improvement.
- Manage HR budgets and participate in organizational design efforts to optimize workforce structure.
- Lead initiatives in benefits administration and employee wellness programs while maintaining alignment with company policies.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law, FMLA regulations, OSHA standards, workers' compensation procedures.
- Strong negotiation skills for contracts and vendor relationships related to HR services.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, sourcing strategies (HR sourcing), and succession planning.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead HR teams effectively.
- Expertise in HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UltiPro, ADP; proficiency in data analysis skills and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for presentations, training sessions (training & development), and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects through program management skills while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with experience in organization design and change management processes.
- Familiarity with HR metrics such as employee evaluation systems and performance management tools.
