Role: HR Generalist

We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to be a central part of our team. In this role, you'll manage the core functions that make our workplace run smoothly and ensure a consistently positive employee experience. You'll need a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a genuine enjoyment in supporting others.

This position serves as a reliable resource for employees and managers, handling everything from onboarding to offboarding with precision and care. You'll work closely with the Vice President of Human Resources to implement people-focused policies, ensure compliance, and help shape our culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the employee lifecycle: Own the process for new hires and departures, including offer letters, onboarding, I-9/E-Verify, exit interviews, and final pay.
  • Administer benefits & payroll: Run bi-weekly payroll and manage all benefits programs (health insurance, 401(k), open enrollment) for our team of approximately 50 people.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain accurate employee records and handbook policies, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations. Handle compliance filings and reporting.
  • Support talent acquisition: Partner with managers on recruiting efforts, including job descriptions, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
  • Drive HR operations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, support performance management processes, and help resolve employee relations matters with discretion.
  • Improve processes: Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement improvements to our HR programs and practices.

What You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A practical, hands-on understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms..
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the discretion to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • The ability to respectfully challenge the status quo and advocate for best practices, balancing empathy with firmness.
