Position Summary: COMPANY WILL BE MOVING TO ALDEN, NY Q1 2026!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist to join our manufacturing team. This dual-role position is responsible for processing payroll and supporting human resources functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The ideal candidate MUST have payroll processing experience, particularly with ADP systems, and a solid understanding of HR compliance and reporting, employment regulations, recruiting, and different types of Leaves.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Duties:

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using ADP.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter third party sick pay into system
  • Enter benefit information into payroll
  • Process 401k and HSA information and transfers
  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll-related reporting and audits.

Human Resources Duties:

  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS systems.
  • All aspects of recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
  • Assist with employee relations, performance management, and policy enforcement.
  • Process leave reporting and paperwork, i.e., FMLA, Disability, Workers Compensation, Paid Family Leave, etc.
  • Participate in safety and compliance initiatives relevant to a manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare compliance testing, 5500. EEO1 and ACA information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration preferred but not necessary or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in payroll and HR, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with ADP payroll systems a plus; strong Microsoft Office skills and Excel.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR compliance, employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.), and payroll regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and excellent work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
