PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provide professional level support for all Human Resources functions for the company in the areas of employment, employee relations, and events.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the employment process for the company. This includes working with hiring managers to develop and implement appropriate recruiting and selection strategies, ensuring that compensation is within guidelines, and appropriate controls are in place in the hiring process (e.g. reference and background checks).

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Help to ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and city employment laws and regulations.

Work with employees to resolve benefits related issues.

Conduct exit interviews as needed.

Plan, organize and coordinate company training programs as needed.

Help to ensure that the company is in compliance with all EEO, employment, benefits, and wage-hour laws.

Provide employee relations support by acting as a liaison between management and employees.

Coach managers as needed on people management skills and strategies (as appropriate) such as setting clear performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, recognizing positive results, taking correction action (where necessary) and linking compensation to performance.

Ensure that relevant Human Resources files, documentation, and communications are current, complete, and comply with applicable laws.

Keep current regarding competitive Human Resources practices.

Complete special projects as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Job Experience:

BA in business, Human Resources, or related field required.

Experience planning, developing, implementing and administering Human Resources programs in employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and training.

5-8 years of experience in the field of Human Resources
Special Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

Expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to demonstrate clear, concise communication, good judgment and discretion.

Ability to facilitate interactions and resolve conflicts.
