About Us
Baseline Contracting, LLC is a family-owned, full-service concrete contractor that takes pride in doing quality work and treating people right. About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing many hats and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The Head of HR will take the lead on all things related to human resources and will also help out with accounts payable when needed. We’re happy to teach you the accounting side — what we really need is someone with solid HR experience, a strong sense of organization, and a genuine care for people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are properly collected and filed
  • Manage HR insurance systems and handle yearly renewals
  • Gather and organize data for ACA reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and hotel bookings for employees
  • Plan and assist with company events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and other special gatherings
  • Conduct new hire orientations and training sessions
  • Support employee relations and help foster a positive work environment
  • Assist with front office operations and general administrative duties
  • Provide occasional assistance with accounts payable tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) – required
  • At least 2 years of HR experience (generalist or similar role)
  • Experience gathering data for ACA reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working in a small-team setting
  • Able to work in the office Monday through Friday (this is not a remote position)

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Family-owned and team-oriented culture
  • Supportive environment where your input matters
  • Opportunity to learn and grow in multiple areas
  • Steady Monday–Friday schedule with consistent hours
  • Work with a team that values respect, reliability, and a good sense of humor
