Position Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist in our Lenexa location. This position will play a key role in driving daily Human Resources operations, ensure compliance, and fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture through support in recruitment, benefits, policy guidance, and performance management.

Essential functions and responsibilities include the following (other functions may be assigned):

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify organizational staffing needs.
  • Develop and implement diverse recruitment strategies, including career fairs, online platforms, and referrals, to attract candidates.
  • Source, screen, and evaluate potential candidates, conducting pre-screening interviews, scheduling interviews, and pre-employment assessments.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Communicate policies and procedures to associates.
  • Serve as a point of contact for associate inquiries and concerns.
  • Support conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment
  • Assist in disciplinary actions and documentation
  • Maintains records of insurance coverage, pension plans, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Conduct wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
  • Prepare separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Maintains applicant data records for hired employees and applicants required for governmental reporting purposes.
  • Analyze existing personnel policies and recommend changes to management staff.
  • Ensure compliance with local, federal and state law.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Prepare reports for Human Resources metrics and audits.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s safety program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or human resources desired. Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a human resource capacity preferred.
  • Human Resources related certifications are desirable.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and security. Ability to maintain professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Considerable knowledge of modern policies and practices of HR administration; knowledge of employee classification, compensation and benefits, recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check.
