Description:

The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily functions of the HR department at the Union City manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for a variety of HR activities including full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and training coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly, technical, and salaried positions — including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with enrollment and claims.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and corrective action processes.
  • Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping verification, and attendance tracking.
  • Support health and safety initiatives, workers’ compensation claims, and plant-wide wellness activities.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience managing recruiting efforts in a high-volume environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, OSHA).
  • Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems preferred (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom).
