Human Resources Generalist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

This is a 4-month contract to cover a leave. 100% onsite

Job Function Details:

• Assist with day to day HR operations and managing the full employee lifecycle
• Conduct onboarding for new hires, assign background checks and drugs tests
• Coordinate offboarding processes to ensure compliance and positive transitions
• Update systems with employee data and training record data
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace practices
• Ensure timely enrollment of newly eligible employees in benefits plans
• Respond to benefits and payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain complete and accurate payroll records, including timekeeping, wage garnishments, deductions, and benefit contributions
• Prepare payroll reports and assist process data through accounting system
• Oversee compliance with health and safety programs, including training, reporting, and safety equipment needs
• Assist recruiter with talent acquisition duties as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 2-5 years of HR Experience, with 1-3 years as an HR Generalist
• Payroll knowledge or background (ideally be able to process payroll)
• Bachelor's degree in HR or business administration (preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly

• Excel - Intermediate level
• DISA - BKG and Drug screening
• Update training data in ISNET or Avetta
• ATS experience
