Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting various HR initiatives, programs, and policies to foster a positive work environment, drive employee engagement, and achieve organizational goals. The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting various human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, file and data maintenance, employee relations, compliance, and payroll. This position serves as a resource for employees and management, ensuring adherence to HR programs and policies, employment laws, and ethical regulations.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Talent Acquisition
-
Create and post job openings on various platforms, including job boards, company websites, and social media.

Collaborate with hiring managers to identify key qualifications and skills for their posted positions.

Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and preferences.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between HR and hiring teams.
-
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
-
Conduct initial phone screens or interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.

Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed.
-
Track open requisitions with a weekly and monthly overview report.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates and recruiting agencies following interviews.

Stay informed about changes in employment laws that may impact the recruitment process.

Initiate and facilitate welcome communication to new hires, providing essential details about their first day, orientation, and initial expectations.

Ensure completion of all necessary onboarding paperwork, including tax forms, employment contracts, policies, procedures, I-9, and any other required documents.

Complete new hire orientations, onboarding sessions, and training programs to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the organization.

Manage onboarding checklist completion for all new hires.

Manage the background check process, evaluate results, and determine eligibility based on defined criteria.

Activate and distribute employee badges.

Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance the employee experience and reduce turnover.

Ensure offboarding processes are completed including final payments according to multi-state laws.
- Company Programs and Policies

Manage the Employee Vision, RX, and Reimbursement Program.

Manage the employee-free products program and assist with any employee questions or issues relating to it.

Develop, update, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and best practices to promote consistency, fairness, and legal compliance across the organization.

Keep employee handbook and company policies updated.
- File/Data Maintenance and Compliance

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files in compliance with confidentiality policies and legal requirements.

Work with the Technology Services team to ensure all employee email lists are always up to date with new hires and terminations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Stay informed of changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Employee Relations and Engagement

Plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and surveys.

Promote wellness programs and initiatives for employees.

Complete research on any HR-related topic

Support employees by answering questions and assisting with day-to-day situations.

Assist with any projects the department may have ongoing at any moment.
- HRIS/Payroll
-
Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll.
-
Keep up to date with all industry, state, and company payroll updates or changes.
- HRIS data entry using Paycom HRIS personnel action forms (PAFs)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of HR functions, policies, and best practices

Understands regulatory compliance needs and has comprehensive knowledge of the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

2-4 years of Human Resources experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
