Position Summary

Nova Lines is seeking a dedicated and professional Human Resources Generalist to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, training support, policy implementation, and overall employee engagement.

The HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to leadership and employees, helping maintain a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and department leaders
  • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation
  • Ensure completion of I-9 verification, E-Verify, and employment paperwork
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS records

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
  • Assist with employee coaching, counseling, and corrective action processes
  • Support investigations related to employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations
  • Promote positive employee relations and company culture initiatives

Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist in maintaining employee handbook policies and procedures
  • Support workers’ compensation, FMLA, ADA, and leave administration
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information

Benefits & Payroll Support

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions
  • Support open enrollment and benefits administration
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure employee changes are processed accurately
  • Review employee status changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations

Training & Development

  • Support training programs including leadership development and compliance training
  • Coordinate employee development initiatives
  • Assist with performance management processes
  • Track required certifications and training compliance

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support safety initiatives and workplace investigations
  • Assist with quarterly HR reporting and presentations
  • Participate in employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Perform additional HR duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an office and operational environment
  • Frequent walking between departments including shop and operations areas
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the facility as needed

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
