Position Summary
J.D. Eckman, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our growing organization. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering high-quality HR services aligned with business objectives while ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive, people-first workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and capable of managing multiple HR functions with professionalism and integrity.
Position Details
- Reports To: Director of Human Resources
- Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (40–45 hours per week)
- Work Environment: Primarily office-based; occasional exposure to local weather conditions
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee inquiries, concerns, and policy guidance
- Foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs and enrollment processes
- Manage leave requests and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires and offboarding for departing employees
Training & Development
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee training and development initiatives
- Support programs that enhance employee skills and engagement
HR Operations & Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Provide support for payroll and reporting functions
- Serve as the primary contact for daily HR support needs
Additional Duties
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict confidentiality and uphold company standards of professionalism

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HR and/or customer service roles (preferred)

- Ability to manage high-volume communications with professionalism
- Proficiency with HR systems and digital tools
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
