Human Resources Generalist

A growing professional services firm in Brecksville, Ohio is seeking a motivated HR Generalist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with 1-3 years of experience to broaden their skill set and play a meaningful role in supporting employees and business operations.


Position Summary

The HR Generalist will support a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR record keeping. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, approachable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting with offer processes. Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth and positive employee experience. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS systems. Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions. Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, escalating issues as appropriate. Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Support performance management processes, including tracking reviews and assisting managers with documentation. Assist with the development and communication of HR policies and procedures. Contribute to HR projects such as engagement initiatives, training programs, and process improvements. Prepare HR-related reports and metrics as needed.


Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar role. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus, but not required.
