JOB PURPOSE

The Human Resource Generalist role will serve by providing hands-on support to one or more sites. HRG will act as the primary HR contact for employees and leaders within assigned sites, focusing on employee relations, culture & engagement, coaching & manager development, as well as training. The HRG will partner closely with site leadership to drive a positive workplace culture, ensure consistency in HR policies, and provide guidance on employee-related matters. Workforce planning and talent retention will also be key functions of this role.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

• Employee Relations: Act as the primary resource for handling employee relations matters, conducting investigations, resolving workplace conflicts, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Administrative Support: Managing onboarding of new hires, creating/entering paperwork in HRIS system, managing employee records, filing, coordinating meetings, and providing general support to the HR department.
• Culture & Engagement: Partner with site leadership to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, reinforcing company values and employee engagement initiatives such as employee luncheons/events.
• Coaching & Management Development: Provide coaching and guidance to managers on effective practices, employee performance, and development strategies to enhance managerial effectiveness.
• HR Policy & Compliance: Serves as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR-related policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure consistent application of policies and compliance procedures in areas of responsibility.
• HR Support & Advising: Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, including benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodation, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Collaboration & Business Partnership: Work closely with corporate HR teams and site leaders to align HR strategies with business goals and support organizational growth.
• Workforce Planning & Talent Retention: Assist in identifying workforce trends, turnover concerns, and opportunities for retention strategies across assigned locations. Participates in interview and intake process, as needed.
• Recruiting: Assist in the recruitment process by screening or interviewing candidates and coordinating pre-employment screenings, as needed (e.g., I-9 verification).

Marginal Job Functions:

• Knowledge of general office clerical procedures.
• Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience and comfort with HRIS and ATS systems. (UKG or similar systems)
• Ability to regularly exercise sound judgment.
• Maintain a professional presence, act with integrity, and maintain appropriate confidentiality.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Will participate in and support safety meetings, initiatives, safe work practices, and compliance.
• Will participate in safety activities, including immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents/injuries.
• Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance, and equipment operation requirements.
• Will be responsible for managing the Drug and Alcohol program for assigned sites.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Location: Precision Aviation Group – onsite

Travel: This role requires occasional day and overnight travel to site locations. (15% or less of the time)

Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required or commensurate additional years of experience.

Experience:

• Two plus years of HR generalist-type experience, with employee relations experience preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with FAA compliance and Drug and Alcohol testing requirements a plus

Certificates/Licenses:

• HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.

Other: As with any role at PAG, other duties may be occasionally assigned in the role to support the broader business.
