About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our Dallas team. This is an on-site position supporting employees and leaders across designated locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, people-focused environment and enjoys balancing a variety of HR functions — from recruiting and onboarding to payroll and employee engagement.

You’ll partner closely with another HR Generalist and the VP of Human Resources to support our employees, uphold company culture, and help ensure MISA remains a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a day-to-day resource for employees by responding to HR-related questions and requests.
  • Coordinate and execute employee appreciation events and engagement activities.
  • Help lead company participation in charitable and community initiatives through our private foundation.
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting and onboarding for assigned locations, including job postings, interviews, offers, and new hire orientation.
  • Conduct engaging new hire orientations that reflect company values and culture.
  • Administer payroll through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist employees and managers with leave of absence (LOA) and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Collaborate on HR projects, process improvements, and company-wide initiatives that strengthen the employee experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or related HR role.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS systems; Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a positive, solutions-driven mindset.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision coverage.
  • 401(k) matching, Safe Harbor, and annual pension contribution.
  • Catered lunches every Friday.
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability and life insurance.
  • Referral bonuses for employee referrals.
  • A supportive, collaborative team culture focused on learning and growth.
  • Opportunities to make an impact through our non-profit foundation and community engagement programs.
