Human Resources Manager | Cheema Dental
Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced HR Manager to support our multi-office dental group. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, compliance, credentialing, benefits, employee relations, and administrative operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work independently, and ensures all HR and operational processes run smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting: phone screenings, in-person interviews, and working interviews/job shadowing.
- Prepare and send offer letters, complete new hire paperwork, and send welcome emails.
- Collect all necessary documentation, certifications, and verify eligibility/credentialing.
- Set up employees in staff schedules, Uattend, Open Dental, and other systems.
- Coordinate onboarding trainings (e.g., sexual harassment, compliance).
- Ensure all employee paperwork is complete and compliant with state and local laws.
Employee Relations & Performance
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Manage performance review process, request salary increases, and maintain documentation.
- Handle terminations, exit interviews, and ensure all final paperwork is completed.
- Maintain disciplinary and communication records.
- Keep the Employee Handbook updated to reflect current policies, laws, and best practices.
Benefits & Compliance
- Manage employee health insurance enrollment and terminations; coordinate with brokers and carriers.
- Handle retirement plan enrollment, updates, and terminations (Calsavers).
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, licensure, and credentialing requirements.
- Oversee vacation activation, eligibility, and accruals.
- Maintain all office licensure, permits, and dentist credentialing for multiple entities.
- File EDD claims and other employer-related forms as needed.
- Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and paperwork comply with state and local laws.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Process accounts payable, review office bills with management team.
- Coordinate staff schedules in collaboration with office leadership.
- Support various operational tasks across multiple locations as needed.
- Support with payroll processing, timecards, and related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field).
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred.
- 2–5+ years of HR experience, preferably in multi-site healthcare or dental practices.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits, payroll, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Open Dental, Uattend, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll/benefit platforms.
