The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR operations across multiple locations in three states. This role plays a critical part in cultivating a strong, inclusive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. By aligning HR strategies with organizational objectives, the HR Manager serves as a hand on partner to leadership, directly supervises one HR team member, and contributes significantly to fostering a high-performance, people-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, morale, and retention initiatives.

Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract and integrate top talent.

Lead employee development and review processes; partner with management on compensation planning.

Support managers with performance management, employee relations, coaching, and conflict resolution.

Ensure fair handling of investigations, disciplinary actions, and policy enforcement.

Maintain compliance with employment laws and manage HR policies, handbooks, and leave programs.

Oversee HRIS systems administration, ensuring accurate data, user processes, and system utilization.

Supervise one HR team member and manage employee lifecycle activities.

Administer benefits programs, including renewals, compliance, and employee support.

Prepare HR reports and ensure accurate records, processes, and documentation across all functions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; SHRM-SCP or PHR preferred

7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role

Experience managing HR across multiple locations and states

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office

Strong organizational and time management abilities
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend; use a computer for extended periods; lift up to 20 lbs; and communicate clearly.
Working Conditions
Primarily an office-based role with a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office, 3 days remote). Occasional travel to salon locations when needed.
