Human Resources Manager

Position Summary:
This position will play a pivotal role in leading people initiatives at a high-performing food manufacturing facility in Texas. Reporting to the Senior HR Operations Manager, this role is responsible for rebuilding HR credibility, driving leadership development, and implementing structure across HR processes on site. The HR Manager will partner closely with the Plant Manager, support a workforce of 350 employees, and be supported by an HR Specialist. This role requires a balance of strategic influence and hands-on execution in a dynamic, people-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restore confidence in the HR function following recent turnover and foster a culture where employees feel supported, valued, and engaged.
  • Deploy corporate leadership competencies, design and implement supervisor/lead training, and partner with operations leadership to strengthen frontline leadership capability.
  • Standardize HR processes such as quarterly plant meetings, staffing reviews, and recognition programs. Ensure compliance in documentation, workers’ comp management, and support payroll and benefits administration.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify root causes of turnover and implement targeted retention strategies to stabilize and grow the workforce.
  • Manage accurate employee data and reporting within SAP SuccessFactors and Kronos, while implementing KPIs to link workforce performance to plant success.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and operational leadership to build structure, establish workforce KPIs, and embed a people-first culture.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment (clear understanding of a 24/7 operation)
  • Proven ability to connect with and advocate for an hourly workforce
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors strongly preferred)
  • Comfortable balancing strategic initiatives and administrative execution in a lean HR team
