Overview

We are currently looking for a Part-time Human Resources Manager to join our team in Linden, NJ. We are a fast-growing family owned wholesale bakery that manufactures frozen par-baked bread all over the New York and New Jersey area. We're driven, collaborative and innovative. As an HR Manager, you will play an important role in supporting our employees and workplace. You’ll manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee support, record keeping, and compliance. This role is essential for maintaining organized HR operations and delivering a positive employee experience.

This position is part-time, 4 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Hours will be from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Qualifications:

· 2+ years of HR experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of HR policies and labor laws

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

· Fluency in Spanish a PLUS

· Knowledge of US labor law basics (FMLA, I-9, recordkeeping)

Key accountabilities include:

· Interpret and enforce company policies while ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

· Ensuring HR practices comply with federal, state, and provincial laws, and staying current with changes in labor legislation.

· Ensure employment eligibility verification (I-9) and complete/accurate personnel files.

· Serving as a key point of contact for employee queries and providing guidance and support on employee relations matters and sensitive matters with discretion.

· Supporting the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings and scheduling interviews

· Managing onboarding and off boarding processes

· Leading employee engagement and retention initiatives

· Working knowledge of general HR practices and processes

· Manage and process all unemployment claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations

· Coordinate timely staff evaluations and guide department leaders in performance management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
