Duties/Responsibilities
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR department and ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and best practices. This role serves as a strategic partner to management and a resource to employees, fostering a positive workplace culture.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, interviews, candidate selection, and onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations while promoting a respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure company policies comply with federal, state, and local employment laws; update and enforce employee handbooks and HR procedures.
- Performance Management: Develop and oversee performance evaluation systems, set employee development goals, and support managers in coaching and feedback.
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll, benefits programs, and compensation structures; research and recommend adjustments to remain competitive.
- Training & Development: Coordinate employee training programs, leadership development, and compliance training.
- HR Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR practices with organizational goals and workforce planning needs.
- Records & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records, manage HRIS systems, and prepare reports for leadership decision-making.
- Health, Safety, and Well-being: Support workplace safety programs, wellness initiatives, and leave management (FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, etc.).
