Human Resources Manager

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Location: Temecula, CA (On-Site)
Compensation: $70,500–$100,500 annually
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, with occasional nights/weekends
Reports To: Controller

Hodson P.I., LLC is a leading California investigations firm committed to excellence, integrity, and exceptional client service. We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR operations and support our growing, high-performance team.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, benefits, policy compliance, and HR administration. This role partners directly with executive leadership to maintain a positive culture, organizational effectiveness, and legal compliance while supporting ongoing company growth.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Conduct HR audits and maintain accurate records
  • Implement and monitor OSHA safety protocols

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, interviewing, hiring
  • Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding documentation

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Address employee issues, mediate conflicts, and provide solutions
  • Support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and internal events

Payroll & HR Technology

  • Manage payroll processes with the ADP Payroll Specialist
  • Partner with ADP account support to enhance HR systems

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain personnel files and HR databases
  • Prepare HR reports and support strategic planning
  • Handle sensitive HR matters directly with the CEO and VP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • HR experience (HR Manager or strong HR Generalist ideal)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ADP payroll systems is a plus
  • High professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
