Human Resources Manager

As we continue to grow across multiple districts and communities, we are seeking a strategic and systems-driven leader to oversee Human Resources and staff development across the organization. This is a key leadership role responsible for building strong teams, maintaining compliance, and supporting the systems that help our programs run with excellence.

Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources provides leadership and operational oversight for all HR functions across Ivy League Kids. This role ensures that our organization remains compliant, well-trained, and aligned with our mission and core values while building strong systems to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Leadership
Oversee all onboarding, background checks, and employee documentation across multiple sites
Manage employee files, certifications, and compliance tracking
Administer benefits enrollment and insurance deductions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Oversee payroll preparation support, PTO tracking, and timekeeping system integrity
Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
Handle employment verifications and HR documentation requests
Support leadership with employee relations matters, documentation, and performance management processes

Compliance and Risk Management
Work with leadership team to maintain staff compliance with DCFS license-exempt and licensed requirements
Oversee audits, reporting, and internal compliance reviews
Monitor certification renewals including CPR, Mandated Reporter training, and safety training
Create tracking systems to prevent lapses in required documentation
Partner with District Managers and Site Directors to ensure adherence to safety and staffing protocols

Staff Training and Development
Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding process for new hires
Lead company-wide training initiatives including safety, customer service, classroom management, and compliance
Coordinate CPR and First Aid certifications and required professional development hours
Develop leadership pathways for Site Directors and District Managers
Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve systems
Ensure training documentation is maintained and audit-ready

Operational Collaboration
Collaborate with Finance on payroll reporting and staffing ratios
Support workflow improvements and system efficiency
Build scalable HR systems to support new site openings and organizational growth

Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Operations leadership
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
Experience with payroll systems such as Paycor, HR platforms, and Google Workspace
Experience managing compliance documentation in regulated environments preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
