The Human Resources Manager works under the direction of the Administrator and fulfills various influential roles in the facility. The HR Manager is responsible for all HR/ Payroll functions in the facility including new employee on-boarding and orientation, employee relations management, employee personnel files, benefit management, workers compensation and safety program and other programs. The HR Manager manages the payroll functions including timecards, payroll processing and payroll-related benefits. The HR Manager also posts accounts payable invoices and often greets callers and visitors.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Know, understand and implement the mission of Monument Health.

Follow all company policies as contained in the Associate Handbook, Code of Conduct and all other active policies including but not limited to attendance, dress code, workplace safety, zero-tolerance policies and professional conduct.

Participate in all required meetings, trainings and events.

Manage all HR/Payroll functions as outlined in the HR/Payroll Instruction Manual with the main functions including new Associate orientation, Associate file maintenance, Associate relations, benefit enrollment and payroll processing.

Act as a resource to all department heads and Associate’s for addressing concerns, answering questions regarding HR policy and procedure, enacting, investigating, witnessing and counseling during disciplinary actions and serve as a liaison to management-level human resources.

Manage new applicants as required; ensure all proper documentation, drug testing, background checks, reference checks and other required processes occur as part of pre-employment reviews or post-offer process.

Instruct Associate’s through the New Associate Orientation program; ensure all forms are properly completed, signed and filed.

Enforce all HR policies and procedures; reinforce the Company’s Zero Tolerance Policies; enforce the Code of Conduct.

Manage workers compensation injuries as outline in Company policy in conjunction with the Associate Safety Award Program.

Manage the payroll process as outlined in policy and as directed; ensure that all timecards are properly managed, reviewed, signed off and processed in order for payroll distribution.

Act as a resource to Associate’s in understanding health insurance and dental benefits, 401K plans, group disability insurance, Associate assistance program, FMLA and other programs held by the Company.

Manage Associate information inside Kronos as required.

Ensure the facility has the proper employment and regulatory requirements posted; ensure this information is correct and updated as directed.

Ensure the employment processes meet the guidelines required by the Department of Health and Human Services; participate in the yearly survey process by providing complete and correct documents as required.

Post accounts payable invoices into the AP software: properly receive invoices; code invoices; ensure the Administrator signs off on invoices; post invoices and send originals to the management-level AP Manager; ensure all posting occurs by the due date for month-end-close for the facility.

Perform other AP posting tasks as required by the Administrator.

Where applicable, receive visitors and answer phone calls to the facility.

Complete all other assigned tasks and responsibilities as they pertain to this position as well as any other responsibilities you have been delegated and cross-trained to perform.

Valid Background Check / Completed DACS Registration and Associate Health Screening
