POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers, develops, and maintains human resources functions in keeping with the organizations’ culture and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer and assist to develop and maintain the human resources plan and procedure for all company personnel.

Assists with planning and organizing all activities of the Human Resource Department.

Collaborates in the full-cycle recruitment process for all nonexempt and exempt staffing including job posting, manage advertising budget, candidate screening, interviewing, job offers, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding.

Conducts onboarding procedures and assists with new employee orientations.

Work alongside managers, supervisors, and team leads to proactively seek to increase employee retention/decrease turnover.

Collaborates with Training & Development manager to assist employees with career path development and performance review process.

Conducts coaching and employee relations counseling.

Supports HR Team with the implementation and annual updates of compensation program; assists in updating job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys, analyzes employees’ compensation; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

Corroborate in developing, recommending, and administering the implementation of personnel policies and procedures; reviews and maintains employee handbook of policies and procedures.

Maintain HRIS database as it pertains to human resource functions.

Participate in the annual review of benefits program and updates as necessary to assure competitive position in talent marketplace. Oversees benefits administration.

Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, as appropriate.

Maintains company organization charts.

Maintain employee turnover and retention metrics.

Assist the Director of HR in evaluating the results of HR department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department, and services performed.

Supports the organization’s administration, department managers, supervisors, and team leads with human resource and employee matters.

Create and maintain all employee personnel records including performance reviews, benefits, corrective actions, FMLA, etc.

Work cooperatively to manage organization unemployment and worker’s compensation costs.

Oversees employee safety initiatives and works with EHS Manager to assure a safe and healthy workplace and minimize workers’ compensation costs.

Assures compliance with applicable human resource law and practice.

Maintains HR knowledge, skills, trends, and best practices through personal reading and participation in appropriate seminar and workshops.

Foster a positive workplace culture by being a champion of the OMT-Veyhl values (C.R.E.A.T.E.) by living them out daily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
Must have 5 years or more experience in human resources.
-
Experience in manufacturing highly preferred.
-
PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
-
Proficiency with UKG Ready (HCM) is a plus
