Five Horizons Health Services (FHHS) is a nonprofit community-based organization that provides high-quality, patient-centered medical, prevention, testing, and case management services across the Alabama Black Belt and East Mississippi.

Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Specialist is a highly professional, detail-oriented, and organized individual responsible for performing administrative duties in support of the following department functions: employment and recruitment; training and development; employee relations; and compensation and benefits.

• Assist in recruitment (job postings, resume reviews, interviews, etc.)
• Manage onboarding for new hires, including employment paperwork, benefit enrollment, tax forms, and I-9 documentation.
• Organize and lead New Employee Orientation (NEO)
• Maintain up-to-date employee records (digital and paper), such as demographic data, evaluations, benefits, pay, etc.
• Manage employee recognition program (i.e. job performance awards, birthdays, work anniversaries)
• Assist employees in troubleshooting HR/Payroll web and phone-based applications (i.e. ADP and Paylocity).
• Create and update department documents, spreadsheets, and trackers.
• Assist in conflict management grievance procedures.
• Stay up-to-date and ensure compliance with labor legislation.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records at all times.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Human Resources/Human Capital Management or Business Administration (preferred)
• 1 year of administrative experience
• Proficient in all MS Office applications
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
