Human Resources Specialist

Job Overview:

The HR Specialist will be responsible for supporting various HR functions including recruitment, employee on-boarding, records management, and HR-related administrative tasks. This position will play a key role in ensuring that HR processes run smoothly, while also contributing to a positive employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, resume screening, and coordinating interviews for open positions.
  • On-boarding: Coordinate new hire orientation, including preparing new hire paperwork, setting up employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee files and databases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment and answer employee questions regarding health, wellness, and retirement plans.
  • Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process by ensuring accurate employee data and attendance records.
  • Training Coordination: Help with organizing training sessions, workshops, and employee development programs.
  • HR Reporting: Assist with compiling HR reports related to employee attendance, turnover, and other HR metrics.
  • Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, escalating to HR Manager as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in HR.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
