Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Specialist to join our human resources team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between management and employees, ensuring a positive, compliant, and inclusive work environment. This role focuses on HR operations, employee relations, policy implementation, and fostering a culture of safety and respect for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for entry to mid-level roles.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, offer letters, and pre-employment checks.
  • Lead new hire orientation with a focus on workplace safety and anti-harassment policies.

2. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, complaints, or discrimination issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality while addressing grievances in line with the company’s POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) policy.
  • Promote a supportive culture through regular check-ins and exit interviews.

3. Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, particularly policies related to conduct and workplace safety.
  • Assist in organizing mandatory POSH training and internal committee meetings.

4. Performance & Leave Management

  • Support the performance review cycle and probation tracking.
  • Manage leave records, including maternity, paternity, sick leave, and other applicable policies.
  • Coordinate with payroll for accurate salary processing.

5. Employee Engagement

  • Organize wellness sessions, leadership forums, and safety awareness programs.
  • Drive initiatives to improve retention and satisfaction across all employee groups.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role.
  • In-depth knowledge of local labor laws and POSH Act compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.

Preferred:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or local equivalent).
  • Experience working in [mention industry, e.g., IT, Healthcare, Education].
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office.

Reporting Structure

  • Direct Reporting: Head of HR
  • Collaborates closely with: Operations team, Legal/compliance team, and department managers.
