The Human Resources Supervisor
serves as the primary administrative support to the Deputy Superintendent and office manager for the Human Resources Department. This role ensures the effective and confidential execution of HR operations, supports organizational leadership, and upholds equitable practices across all HR functions. The Supervisor demonstrates strong discretion, organizational acumen, and a thorough understanding of governance and human resources protocols.
Education and/or Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; three or more years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Demonstrated experience handling confidential matters with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of human resources operations, applicable state reporting systems, and educational personnel processes preferred.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Functions
Provides executive-level administrative support to department leadership, including preparation and safeguarding of sensitive and confidential documentation related to legal, contractual, and personnel matters.

Prepares and submits required state and local reports, including compliance submissions to the Illinois State Board of Education and applicable regulatory agencies.

Coordinates and submits annual compensation and retirement system salary reports.

Manages the organization and maintenance of office files, personnel records, and related documentation in compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Maintains district staffing allocation documentation and staff assignment records.

Coordinates annual notification processes to ensure employee and Board member compliance with applicable ethics and disclosure requirements.

Prepares district-wide surveys and compiles demographic data for internal and external reporting purposes.

Manages staff transcript records in coordination with the Professional Learning Department.

Supports the annual rollover of the human resources and business system in coordination with the Payroll Office.

Onboards new employees, acting as a first point of contact for new staff members.

Processes and enters payroll-related data, including position records, professional growth, longevity pay, and stipends.

Supports employees considering retirement by providing information, answering inquiries, and connecting them with appropriate resources.

Maintains and annually updates department reference guides and staff resource documents.

Collaborates with district and building leadership to ensure equitable practices are integrated across all HR functions and processes.

Supports the department's operational functions, including communication and correspondence with all stakeholders, and serves as liaison to other departments.

Prepares Board agenda items and compiles required reports for the Board of Education meetings, including the Personnel Transaction Report.

Coordinates and performs special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent and Executive Director of Human Resources.

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 12-month assignment
SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Supervisory Salary Grade Three Range - $84,544 - $105,680 (2026-2027 School Year);
