Position Overview:

The Human Resources Support Specialist provides essential personnel administration and HR operational support across a high-visibility government program. This role ensures timely and accurate handling of onboarding, clearance coordination, personnel documentation, timekeeping, and employee lifecycle support in a secure, compliance-driven environment. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of federal HR practices and thrives in a fast-paced, classified setting where discretion, precision, and initiative are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate onboarding documentation, clearance packets, and employee start logistics in collaboration with security and program management.
  • Maintain personnel records and documentation in compliance with government, contract, and internal policies.
  • Track personnel actions such as start dates, terminations, and access control badge issuance or revocation.
  • Support accurate timekeeping and labor charging processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance with DCAA and contract requirements.
  • Assist with processing personnel actions (e.g., reassignments, position changes) and maintain visibility of contractor personnel status across all task orders.
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, and government representatives in a timely and professional manner.
  • Facilitate distribution and acknowledgment tracking of required training or HR policy documents.
  • Provide administrative assistance to Program Management in support of HR-related deliverables, reports, or compliance audits.
  • Interface with SharePoint or internal personnel systems to maintain up-to-date rosters and access documentation.
  • Escalate personnel risks or anomalies (e.g., expired clearance, upcoming badge revocations) for proactive mitigation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in HR, personnel administration, or operational support in a federal or DoD contractor setting.
  • Prior experience supporting TS/SCI-cleared environments and understanding of classified onboarding protocols.
  • Familiarity with security vetting processes, facility access coordination, and HR compliance standards in government contracting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive personnel matters.
