Human Resources Trainer for A Behavior Health Organization
Position: Human Resources Trainer
Work Shift: Full-Time – Must be onsite during the initial training period possible (Hybrid optional: 2 days remote after 90 days)
Location: Edgewater, MD

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Human Resources Trainer to join our HR team.
- This role is essential in promoting employee growth, professional development, and organizational retention through effective training programs.

The HR Trainer will design, implement, and monitor training initiatives that align with agency needs while fostering a culture of learning.

Work with HR recruiting team with onboarding and new employee or orientation

Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and align programs with organizational goals.

Develop tailored training programs using employee feedback and performance gap analysis.

Lead engaging in-person and virtual training sessions to enhance employee skills and professional development.

Design training materials such as guides, workbooks, job aids, and multimedia presentations.

Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and program metrics.

Create and implement job-specific onboarding and new hire training programs, including computer training with a Credible/Qualifacts module.

Deliver training required by CARF or identified by leadership (e.g., Management Training, Conflict Resolution, Recovery Model).

Schedule and manage training logistics, including reserving space and utilizing Relias for tracking and implementation.

Assist with onboarding and New Employee Orientation, including follow-up on medication monitoring checklists.

Support HR Director with additional projects and initiatives as needed.
Education & Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree or advanced education in HR, or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a corporate trainer with relevant HR background.
Experience in Behavioral Health settings is a plus.
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training program design.

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills (in-person and virtual).
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to assess organizational needs and develop solutions.
Proficiency in HR systems, training platforms (Relias), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
