HVAC Apprentice/Helper

Job Overview:

Metro Mechanical Services Inc. is looking for a dedicated and eager HVAC Apprentice/Helper to join our growing team. As an HVAC Apprentice/Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Installations: Help senior technicians with the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring all components are properly fitted and functioning.
• Maintenance Support: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting system components.
• Repair Assistance: Aid in diagnosing and repairing HVAC system issues, including replacing faulty parts and troubleshooting problems.
• Tool Handling: Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
• Worksite Management: Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must have a clean driver record - No major violations. Will request a copy of your valid drivers license.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
