HVAC Chiller Technician

Location: Dubai
Salary: AED 2,000 – 2,500 (including all benefits)
Working Hours: 8 hours per day (as per company policy)

Job Purpose:

To carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for HVAC systems, especially chillers, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency across assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities:1. Chiller Maintenance & Operations

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
• Inspect and service compressors, motors, pumps, condensers, evaporator coils, control panels, and associated components.
• Conduct regular chiller performance monitoring, including pressures, temperatures, refrigerant charge, and system capacity.
• Diagnose issues such as refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, and control system errors.

2. HVAC System Servicing

• Maintain and repair AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, package units, split units, and exhaust fans.
• Carry out filter cleaning, coil washing, belt replacement, lubrication, and general HVAC upkeep.
• Monitor and record system readings for optimum performance.

3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Execute scheduled PPM tasks as per maintenance plan.
• Rectify breakdown calls efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all works are completed following safety standards and company procedures.

4. Technical Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain service reports, checklists, and maintenance logs.
• Report major issues, spare requirements, and system abnormalities to the supervisor.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all HSE policies, use correct PPE, and ensure safe work practices.
• Handle refrigerants according to environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma/ITI in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in chiller maintenance (air-cooled/water-cooled).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical controls, refrigeration cycle, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
• Should be able to work independently and handle emergency breakdowns.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large facilities, FM companies, or industrial chiller plants.
• Basic computer knowledge for reporting.
• Valid UAE experience will be an advantage.
