Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated HVAC Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team at Julfar Contracting LLC. This role will involve designing HVAC systems for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing HVAC systems, performing load calculations, and collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure the design is both efficient and compliant with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) for high-rise buildings and other large-scale commercial projects.
• Perform load calculations and equipment selection for HVAC systems based on project specifications.
• Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
• Ensure HVAC systems are designed to meet project requirements, including energy efficiency, sustainability, and safety standards.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into the overall building design.
• Prepare technical documentation, including calculations, reports, and equipment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA), and industry best practices.
• Review and assist in the procurement of HVAC equipment and materials.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems on site.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to solve design challenges and optimize HVAC system performance.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in HVAC technology, particularly for high-rise buildings.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in HVAC system design, preferably in high-rise building projects.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles, including load calculations, ductwork design, equipment selection, and system optimization.
• Familiarity with local building codes and international HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA).
• Good knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable building practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on high-rise building projects in the UAE or similar regions.
• Certification from professional bodies such as ASHRAE, LEED, or UAE-based certifications.
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and integrated design practices.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
