Job Profile: Draftsman – HVAC

Job Description:
An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) draftsman creates detailed technical drawings and plans for HVAC systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software. They translate the designs of engineers and architects into blueprints that guide the installation and construction of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting:
- HVAC Airflow diagrams & ducting layouts, Chilled water flow diagram & piping layouts.
- Acquainted with all HVAC & offshore standards such as: ASHRAE, SMACNA, DW-144 and SOLAS Standards.
- Familiar with the fire integrity plans and fire rated classification used on offshore platforms i.e. H, A & B fire rated bulkhead/deck & partition construction and selection of HVAC dampers accordingly.
- Estimation of materials incurred in HVAC with the preparation of material schedules, Material Take- off and Bill of materials.
- Preparation of HVAC Calculations, i.e.:
- Fan External Static Pressure Calculations.
- Pump Head Calculations.
- Chilled water and Refrigerant Pipe sizing Calculations.
- HVAC Design and Engineering activities complies to Client specification and industry practices and verifying/preparing the following drawings/document which includes:
- Air & Water Flow Diagrams.
- Layout and Sectional Drawings.
- Equipment Data Sheets.
- MTOs.
3D Modeling & Coordination:
- Model offshore HVAC systems in Revit MEP/PDMS with clash detection
- Coordinate duct routing with piping/electrical teams using Navisworks
- Produce marine-grade HVAC shop drawings for offshore fabrication
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- 10+ years specializing in offshore/marine HVAC drafting
- Proven track record with HVAC systems or offshore living quarters & Technical building
Technical Skills:Essential Software:
- AutoCAD MEP (advanced)
- Revit MEP/PDMS
- Navisworks
Language:
- Fluent English (seafaring terminology proficiency)

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
