Duties
- Lead and coordinate HVAC service projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion of installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose complex HVAC/R systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform troubleshooting on refrigeration units, ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and appliances to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct system upgrades and HVAC design modifications to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Oversee plumbing and mechanical components related to HVAC systems, including pipework, valves, and fittings.
- Utilize welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and work logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and client requirements.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all safety protocols; valid <PERSON> driver license required.
- Mentor junior technicians in technical procedures such as schematics reading, equipment repair, welding, and property maintenance tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with HVAC installation, repair, and troubleshooting across various systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with familiarity in plumbing systems, boiler operation, appliance repair, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams for complex HVAC designs; familiarity with HVAC design principles is a plus.
- Field service experience involving equipment repair on-site at commercial or residential properties.
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; ability to interpret electrical schematics is essential.
- Welding certification or experience preferred; capable of performing metal fabrication or repairs when required.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments; ability to handle refrigerants safely following industry standards.

Pay: $25.29 - $30.46 per hour
