HVAC Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HVAC Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction expertise, and field service experience to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair projects across commercial and industrial properties. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing a team of technicians while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. A background in HVAC design, plumbing, appliance repair, ammonia refrigeration, boiler systems, and property maintenance is highly desirable. Valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Duties

• Oversee and coordinate HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair projects ensuring timely completion and quality standards
• Lead and supervise a team of service technicians, providing training and mentorship as needed
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC/R system designs to facilitate accurate installations and troubleshooting
• Conduct inspections of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing fixtures
• Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks utilizing tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools
• Manage field service operations including troubleshooting complex HVAC issues on-site
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to equipment repair, electrical systems, welding procedures, and property maintenance
• Coordinate with clients to assess needs for HVAC design modifications or upgrades
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction management related to HVAC system installation and property maintenance
• Service technician experience with a strong understanding of schematics and HVAC design principles
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operations
• Proficiency in plumbing, appliance repair, equipment repair, welding techniques, and general maintenance practices
• Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues efficiently
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic equipment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety standards related to HVAC systems, electrical work, welding procedures, and equipment repair
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
• Experience working with air conditioning systems and property management environments
