Responsibilities

• Perform refrigerant line brazing using hand tools and welding techniques to connect HVAC system components accurately and securely.
• Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical diagrams to execute installations and repairs effectively.
• Assist with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair, including refrigeration units, boilers, and building automation systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical testers.
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repair to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Collaborate with service technicians on field service projects involving HVAC/R systems, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and appliance repair.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and schematic references.

Skills

• Construction experience combined with a solid background in HVAC system installation and repair.
• Service technician experience with a focus on refrigeration, air conditioning, and mechanical systems repair.
• Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
• Strong mechanical knowledge including plumbing, electrical systems, building automation systems, and boiler operation.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, soldering equipment, welding tools, and ohmmeters.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus for specialized projects involving hazardous refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with <PERSON> driver requirements preferred.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling; knowledge of HVAC/R safety protocols is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during service visits or installations.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
