Job Description: The position of Service Manager reports to the Owners. The role of Service Manager is to plan, direct and control the functions of the service department, with direction and leadership from the owners. The Service Manager is responsible for leadership, management, customer complaints and performance in the service department. The Service Manager is responsible for the profitability of service department.

2025 Service Dept. Measured Key Performance Indicators (KPI) To be managed:

  • Maintenance agreements 1000 per 1 million/revenue
  • Revenue/vehicle $200k/ Annual
  • Recalls 1% or Less
  • Monthly Tech Conversion- Use Excel Spreadsheet$300-$400 maintenance calls $550-$750 repair calls.
  • Technicians in 4- 5 homes/day everyday
  • Net Billable Efficiency-Service Dept. productivity 65%-85%
  • 100 % NATE certified

Required Assignments: Daily Duties:

  • - Verify technicians have jobs assigned. Technicians need 4 calls a day minimum.
  • - Assist service technicians with technical issues and utilize phone support “Scot Oliver”and manufacture tech support.
  • - Make job site visits with technicians for technical assistance when appropriate.
  • - Make job site visits for customer complaints with technicians when necessary.
  • - Assist service dispatcher with questions and location of special parts/supplies.
  • - Maintain a standby technician when needed for on call. (Let Brittany know)Summer weekend temperatures 90F and above Winter 25F and below
  • - Work with dispatcher to keep unassigned service list clear
  • - Verify Technicians are following mandatory lead condition process
  • - Keep Vehicle Clean and Organized, passenger seat and rear window should not be obstructed.
  • - Record technicians start times daily. Required for comp time accumulation.
  • - Other duties as assigned
  • Weekly duties:
  • - Complete service Payroll reports for accounting by Wednesday morning 8 a.m.
  • - Turn in payroll business unit hours report for departmentalization.
  • - Generate weekly technician report for Revenue, Recall caused, Net billable efficiency.
  • - Generate and share weekly technician lead conversion report.
  • - Generate weekly membership summary report.
  • Monthly Duties:
  • - Schedule two technical training sessions a month
  • - Schedule and perform monthly safety meetings with service dept.
  • - Schedule Monthly vehicle cleaning and tool inspections.
  • - Dispose of warranty parts once claims are paid.
  • - File warranty papers for scrapped parts.
  • - Return Refrigerant for buy back and replace recovery cylinders.
  • Yearly Duties:
  • - Performance reviews and increases if necessary.
  • - Plan for seasonal fluctuations in the business by making sure maintenance contracts are offered to all customers and meeting contract goals.
  • - Verify technicians have completed training for NATE Hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,142.25 - $65,203.57 per year
