HVAC Service Manager

HVAC Service Manager directs daily service operations, leading technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems to ensure high customer satisfaction and profitability. Responsibilities include dispatching, scheduling, mentoring staff, managing inventory, promoting maintenance agreements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They require strong technical expertise and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities,

Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise service technicians to ensure high-quality service.

Operational Scheduling: Manage daily dispatch operations, scheduling, and prioritizing service calls and maintenance visits.

Customer Relations: Act as a primary contact for client, handling customer complaints, building relationships, and ensuring satisfaction.

Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting expertise for complex system issues, and ensure technicians adhere to quality/safety standards.

Financial & Administrative: Manage department budget, review service reports, approve timecards, and generate quotes for repairs and maintenance agreements.

Inventory Control: Ensure trucks are stocked, parts are ordered, and inventory is managed efficiently.

Required Qualifications & Skills,

Experience: Several years of experience as a service technician, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of HVAC equipment, codes, and troubleshooting techniques.

Certifications: EPA certification and relevant state/local licenses (e.g., NATE).

Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.

Software Proficiency: Experience with dispatching software, MS Office, and CRM systems.

Typical Daily Activities,

Reviewing previous day’s service reports and invoices.

Dispatching technicians to jobs based on skill level.

Troubleshooting complex, escalated field problems.

Preparing quotes and maintenance agreements for customers.

Holding team meetings to discuss safety and performance goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,299.13 - ₹75,879.46 per month
