What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems: air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, dehumidifiers, and ventilation systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on residential and light commercial systems.
- Install new systems in accordance with manufacturer specs and local codes.
- Use diagnostic tools to test system components (electrical, airflow, refrigerant levels).
- Replace defective parts such as motors, compressors, thermostats, or ductwork.
- Advise customers on system operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate service records, timesheets, and part usage logs.
- Comply with all safety protocols, refrigerant handling procedures, and EPA guidelines.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours/emergency service.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (HVAC training/apprenticeship preferred)
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- 5+ Years experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, diagnostics and repair
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and safety procedures
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, work on ladders, and in confined spaces or extreme temperatures
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Carrier, Lennox, Trane, or similar systems
- Experience with smart thermostats and energy-efficient systems
- Previous customer-facing service experience
