HVAC Service Technician

Duties

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and furnaces using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
• Install new HVAC systems following detailed specifications and HVAC design plans while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems such as piping, drainage, and water supply lines.
• Use tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and combustion analyzers.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues accurately.
• Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation for all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Operate a service vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites.
• Assist in property maintenance tasks as needed to ensure overall building system functionality.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, appliance repair, or property maintenance.
• Proven field service experience working with HVAC systems or similar mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans effectively.
• Skilled in plumbing installation and repair related to HVAC applications.
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Mechanical experience working on boilers or other large-scale heating systems is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
