HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems across residential and commercial fit-out projects. The role ensures that all HVAC works meet project specifications, safety standards, and the quality expectations of a luxury interior design company.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning

• Install HVAC systems, including ducting, piping, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust/ventilation fans, thermostats, and control systems.
• Review HVAC shop drawings and assist in implementing as per project requirements.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with the MEP Engineer and Site Supervisor to plan installation works.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance for AC systems, ducting, filters, motors, and refrigeration components.
• Diagnose breakdowns, identify faults, and perform necessary repairs.
• Ensure proper refrigerant handling, charging, and leak detection in compliance with safety rules.

Project Execution

• Support site execution in fit-out projects, ensuring HVAC works align with interior design and architectural requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring minimum disruption to ongoing site activities.
• Update daily progress reports and communicate work status with the site team.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE mechanical/HVAC standards and company HSE policies.
• Identify potential safety risks and report to Site Supervisor.
• Ensure all HVAC installations follow project specifications and quality requirements.

Coordination

• Coordinate with other trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, joinery, civil) to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow.
• Attend site meetings and provide HVAC inputs as needed.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience

• Diploma/ITI Certificate in HVAC Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience as an HVAC Technician (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for fit-out or construction projects.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC controls, ductwork systems, refrigerant cycles, and package/ducted split systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Skilled in using HVAC tools, gauges, vacuum pumps, and electrical testing tools.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Professional behavior suitable for a premium/luxury environment.
