Job Description – Hygiene Officer

The Hygiene Officer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation within the facility. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of food safety practices, relevant certifications, and hands-on experience in maintaining hygiene standards in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards across all operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of food handling, storage, and preparation areas.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar food safety regulations and company policies.
• Train staff on hygiene procedures, personal hygiene, and safe food-handling practices.
• Review and update HACCP documentation and hygiene checklists.
• Investigate hygiene-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Operations, and Safety teams to maintain compliance.
• Ensure proper waste management and pest control practices.
• Prepare hygiene reports and submit them to management regularly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (Mandatory).
• Food Safety / Hygiene experience in Qatar is required.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety principles, and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to train staff and ensure compliance across departments.
• Passionate about maintaining high hygiene standards.
