IBM MQ Admin- Consultant

Your Role

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ on distributed platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
• Monitor MQ performance and availability; troubleshoot messaging issues.
• Manage MQ objects such as queue managers, queues, channels, and listeners.
• Implement and maintain security protocols for MQ environments.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations of MQ infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development and support teams to optimize message flows.
• Develop and maintain documentation for MQ configurations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents.

Your Profile

• Strong experience with IBM MQ installation, configuration, and administration.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation and monitoring.
• Familiarity with messaging protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S).
• Understanding of SSL/TLS and other security mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of integration tools like IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
