Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Ice Cream Server/Cashier to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving delicious ice cream treats, and handling cash transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or retail is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting ice cream products and toppings
• Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats according to company standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving change
• Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including utensils, counters, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure product availability during shifts
• Assist with cleaning duties such as bussing tables and maintaining a tidy service area
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service, cashiering, or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor
• Ability to manage time effectively in a quick-service environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in a fast-paced setting like a café, restaurant, or grocery store is beneficial
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending or lifting light loads
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success

Pay: Up to $17.81 per hour
