ICFR Assurance Review Lead

Location: Remote with travel to Abu Dhabi

Contract Duration: 12 weeks (starting 1/12/2025

Day Rate: £500 – £750 (Depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) Assurance Review Lead to join our team on a permanent or short-term consultancy basis. This role will provide subject matter expertise in assessing, reviewing, and enhancing internal risk and compliance controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements, validating existing technology platforms (Floqast Compliance Management) fit to the above, and supporting the clients IPO-related readiness activities and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ICFR assurance across the group.
  • Extract, review, and analyse operational policies and financial records to assess control effectiveness and compliance.
  • Evaluate existing internal risk and compliance controls, policies, and standards, providing clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure coverage of GAAP and relevant local compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct control systems testing to validate operational and financial compliance to the RCM standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports for IPO purposes, highlighting gaps, risks, and remedial actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Group and subsidiary operations, finance, audit, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in ICFR assurance, internal audit, or controls-focused finance roles.
  • Qualified CA or equivalent professional accounting/audit certification.
  • Extensive experience of working in regulated enterprises and leading practice Risk and Compliance operations within
  • Proven experience with Risk and Compliance technologies (preferably Floqast Compliance Management)
  • Proven track record in controls assessment, compliance review, and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Strong experience of working with Middle Eastern clients and regulatory standards
  • Experience with IPO preparation and regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: AED2,340.00 - AED3,510.00 per day
