ICT TECHNICIAN

Primary Purpose of the Job:

This position requires post-holder to be part of a team, and perform all tasks assigned to deliver top class service to our customers.
Providing 1st and 2nd line IT technical support to resolve user and operational problems according to the agreed Service Level Agreements to enhance user satisfaction level.
Supporting and maintain PCs and peripherals.
Carry out diagnostic troubleshooting by selecting and using appropriate technical references.
Ensure rapid response to user technical and functional issues for a range of applications across multiple business lines and asset.
Maintaining a high level of customer service for all support queries
Act as first line security response resource and execute emergency procedures.

Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5 years post-diploma experience in installing and supporting Desktop environment and equipment in an enterprise environment (Oil and gas organization is preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in PCs, peripherals and Application Support.
  • Industry certification in major IT products, e.g. A+, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL..etc.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficient in the usage/application of standard diagnostic, test equipment and software tools.
  • Able to communicate technical details and instructions in plain, non-technical language.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills.
Educational Qualifications:

Technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Electronics or equivalent).
