Immigration Legal Assistant Position Available – Zip Code 77081

We are an immigration law firm seeking a full time Immigration Legal Assistant with strong experience handling USCIS applications, NVC processes, EOIR filings, motions, detained cases, and appeals. The ideal candidate is bilingual, organized, responsible, stable, and able to work efficiently under deadlines. Salary is based on verified and recent experience.

Job Requirements

  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • Experience completing and reviewing USCIS forms
  • Knowledge of NVC procedures, document collection, and case uploads
  • Experience preparing motions to the Immigration Court
  • Familiarity with detained cases, bond requests, and ICE procedures
  • Understanding of EOIR processes including hearings, filings, and online portal
  • Knowledge of BIA appeals, deadlines, and filings
  • Experience with ECA evaluations and evidence organization
  • Proficiency with Cerenade case management software
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to manage Google Calendar for attorney schedules and court deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • High productivity and ability to manage multiple cases at once
  • Excellent client communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
  • Responsible, reliable, stable, and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Prior experience in an immigration law firm is highly preferred
  • Must be able to work in the 77081 area
  • Full time position, 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to start immediately

Responsibilities

  • Prepare USCIS forms, supporting evidence, affidavits, and cover letters
  • Upload and organize documents for NVC submissions
  • Draft motions, filings, briefs, and court documents for EOIR
  • Assist with BIA appeal packets, indexing, and deadlines
  • Manage detained case processes, client communication, and case updates
  • Maintain accurate case files in Cerenade
  • Track deadlines, appointments, filings, and reminders through Google Calendar
  • Communicate with clients, collect documents, and provide case updates
  • Coordinate with attorneys regarding case strategy and next steps
  • Prepare packets for interviews, hearings, and court appearances
